Sot is a painter, multimedia-artist and performer. He also works with photography, installations, sculpture and drawing. In Transitions pictures the artist takes photographs since 1998 of himself in sleeping position against constantly changing backgrounds. In this way he continually adds new shots to this kind of personal diary registering him and his surroundings changing. The images are neither totally set nor snapshots-like. They combine these two elements giving them an aura of "freezing" or "slowing down" happening situations. The fact is that the artist sleeps in the middle of events puts him in special position: he awaits, dreams and maybe anticipates forthcoming events always keeping distance to whatever happens.

His works illustrates and registers the central points in his life. They show the artist against changing backgrounds, socially, nationally and geographically, a nomadic tourist-like existence.
